The Man, The Myth, The 'Squatch

Who is Mr. Mazurek?

According to myth, Mr. Mazurek emerged fully-formed from the Bow River Valley on the Eastern Edge of the Canadian Rockies over 200 years ago; half-man, half-Sasquatch, half-grizzly bear.

Distinguished by both his towering physical presence and deep, resonant voice, Mr. Mazurek quite literally stands out in a crowd.

A rare self-portrait of the elusive Mr. Mazurek.

While his appearance & general demeanor may come across as standoffish, or even intimidating, that couldn't be a more contrary description of Mr. Mazurek. He is an extremely shy and introverted creature by nature; the quintessential gentle giant.

His solitary demeanor has been attributed to his entirely justified & objectively rational aversion to large crowds, loud noises, inane small talk, cramped indoor spaces, and low-hanging light fixtures (his only natural predator).

Moss & Lichens are pleasant conversationalists; They rarely interrupt.

Consequently, Mr. Mazurek enjoys spending the majority of his time in solitude; hiking through the untamed Western Canadian wilderness and swimming in the mountain lakes & rivers - at least when he isn't glued to a book, hammering away at his keyboard, or stuck indoors due to the frigid Canadian winters.

In spite of this general aversion to populated areas, there have been frequent (albeit mostly unconfirmed) sightings of Mr. Mazurek at local cafes, libraries, game stores, knick-knackeries, and Korean street-food restaurants.

Writings

Come & sit while I tell you a tale

Mr. Mazurek's life-long passions for learning, teaching, and storytelling coalesce in artistic works; in his skill at constructing intricate, nuanced, and vivid worlds with his words, both on paper & with his voice. He prides himself in his ability to create imaginary worlds to draw his audience into; to immerse them in the narratives he has constructs, and through them challenge his audience's perceptions; to give his audience a new lenses through which to view the world; to inspire them to peer into these fictional worlds, and to see themselves reflected there. At least that's what he likes to think anyways; You'll have to judge his artistic merits for yourself:

Games I've Played

Disco Elysium - The best book I've ever played, I cannot recommend it to you enough. Just make sure you source it 'ethically'.
Factorio - The factory must grow. The factory must always grow.
Dead Cells - Probably one of the most designed games I've ever played; I just can't put it down.
Synthetik - Perfect game to blast some beats & blast some androids.
Stardew Valley - The most relaxing, absorbing game that I can just pick up & play. My go-to 'Winter Game'.
Warframe - Don't ask me how much time I've spent playing Warframe.
OneShot - Niko is my precious perfect little baby boy and if you didn't pick him during the ending then you're a heartless monster.
In Stars & Time - Some of the most clever, witty, heartwrenching writing in games I've ever witnessed.
Proximate - You can probably guess my opinions on the modern tech industry after playing this one.
Alien: Isolation - I won't lie, I couldn't finish it. Pissed my pants, my shirt, and my socks. 10/10
Monster Hunter: Wilds - Because sometimes the best way to appreciate the local wildlife is to turn them into assless chaps.
